For the UK Gamelan Network's first podcast we were delighted to visit London’s recently re-opened Southbank Centre, for the Showcase event on Sunday 16th December.
This was an informal afternoon concert, held on the Royal Festival Hall Ballroom floor, in which the current Southbank Centre classes and other groups played.
We
spoke to Sophie Clark, who is the Gamelan Advisor for Southbank Centre,
and Manuel Jimenez, the tutor for the two young people's groups.
