The UK Gamelan Network publishes Seleh Notes and hosts this website as a link between people in the UK gamelan community.

Seleh Notes - the magazine of the UK Gamelan Network - is the only regular publication in the UK devoted to gamelan music and the related performing arts.

Sorry - this is not available at the moment. We can only accept payment by cheque.

Can I list an event on the Gamelan Network website?

Yes - listings are free. Email us with your details. Please include details of the event - date, time, venue, entry price and email/phone contact.

Can I advertise on the Gamelan Network website?

Yes. There is a page for instruments for sale or wanted.

Can I learn to play gamelan in the UK?

There are a number of groups around the country who offer regular playing sessions, and who welcome beginners.

Are there gamelan groups available for performances?

Yes. Performances can be arranged for concert-halls or small private events.

I am a teacher - can I arrange for my pupils to learn about gamelan?

There are a number of gamelan groups in the UK offering workshops for children of all ages.

There are also experienced tutors who can visit your school, and bring instruments with them.
