Southbank Centre Gamelan Programme
The Southbank Centre is collaborating with Morley College to run Javanese gamelan classes at The Royal Festival Hall.
Enrolment and administration will be through Morley College and we give details of the classes below.
Javanese Gamelan – Beginners
This year-long course is suitable for complete beginners. Learn the basic techniques and rhythmic patterns of Javanese Gamelan and perform simple pieces together.
Thursdays 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Javanese Gamelan – Intermediate
This year-long course is suitable for reasonably experienced players who have completed a beginners year or who are of an equivalent standard. Build on your knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of this music and greater confidence in performing.
