Peter is a gamelan tutor and musician and is also established as the UK's leading importer of Central Javanese gamelan, having worked for many years with most of the craftsmen involved in gamelan making in Central Java.

He commissions high quality bronze gamelan from the region of Mocolaban near Solo (Surakarta) in Central Java. This is a thriving centre of village workshops, specialising in bronze gamelan forging, and catering in the first instance for the domestic Indonesian market.

The gamelan are made and tuned by skilled craftsmen and mounted on hand-carved wooden cases which can be painted in colours of your choice.
